About the Founder

Phil Kearns is a graduate of Wake Forest University and Thomas M Cooley Law School. His career began with a major insurance carrier where he held the positions of Senior Attorney and Claims Manager. During this time he developed a passion for personnel management, evaluation and recruitment. This passion was further fueled when Phil accepted a position with the largest consumer based law firm in the state of North Carolina. It was there that he refined his skills in attorney recruitment, operations and personnel development as the Vice President of Operations and Chief Legal Officer. While with the firm he was named shareholder and was a member of the executive and strategic planning committees.

During his tenures in these positions Phil recognized a need for legal recruiting and consultative services in the community. Very few companies focused their entire business on law firms and law departments. Combining his passion and experiences Phil founded Kearns Legal Solutions with the goal of providing high quality legal placement and consulting services to his clients. Having been a practicing attorney and managing shareholder for nearly two decades he is uniquely aware of the challenges facing his clients and is excited to help them gain that competitive edge.
